Our work expands across and bridges between sectors with a mission to build capabilities and competencies to move from aspiration to action by ways of intentional strategic design, realistic and compassionate transformation management, and human-centred implementation.
The Story Behind Our Name
Guided by the Stars, Rooted in Truth
Albireo Consulting is named after a beautiful double-star in the Northern Hemisphere's swan constellation, Cygnus. This cosmic point appears as one shining light from a distance, but up close reveals a breathtaking partnership of two distinct stars in vibrant contrast. For us, Albireo symbolizes the beauty of inner and collective diversity, the power of multiple perspectives, and the essential truth that we are all connected through shared humanity — especially when we look closer and beyond our differences.
Albireo Consulting was founded by Kelley Thompson, who brings decades of strategic experience across equity, reconciliation, and operational leadership. We are committed to creating spaces where differences are honoured, strengths are amplified (and possibly discovered), and new systems are built with courage and care.

Albireo Consulting is led by Principal Consultant Kelley Thompson, whose practice is rooted in equity, reconciliation, and organizational transformation. While Kelley leads most engagements directly, she draws on a trusted network of contractors, collaborators, and business partners to deliver high-impact work tailored to each client’s needs. This extended circle includes experts in facilitation, research, systems change, and community engagement — allowing Albireo to remain agile, relational, and responsive across a wide range of projects and sectors.
